Kent End
The first and largest project undertaken by Property Updates Ltd.
The initial cottage started as a 1.1/2 bedroom (you had to walk through one bedroom to get to the other), 1 bathroom, a downstairs cloakroom and galley kitchen property.
The Refurbishment:
The electrics and plumbing needed completely replacing.
A two-story extension and swapping one of the bedrooms with the existing bathroom allowed for a second stairway and independent access to 4 bedrooms, 2 with en-suite, 2 bedrooms sharing a bathroom. Downstairs, the extension allowed for a beautiful, light filled kitchen, pantry, plant room, cloak room and shower room.
To increase head height upstairs, the original ceilings were removed and now the rooms go all the way up to the roof.
The Annexe was the next phase, turning a single story garage / workshop into additional living space with its own toilet and shower facilities.
The garden
Originally a wild, overgrown jungle, it has been tamed into very low maintenance, dog friendly garden. From the front gate to the well, there is a fish filled pond that separates a gravelled area from a raised patio area.
